'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane cools on Premier League return

Kane achieves his century goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has revealed that his interest in going back to the Premier League has diminished and he is prepared to discuss a new contract with Bayern Munich.

The star striker is currently halfway through the four-year deal he signed when transferring to from Tottenham Hotspur for 86.4 million pounds in the summer of 2023.

The experienced forward has netted an remarkable 103 goals in 106 matches for the German team, contributing them secure the 2024-25 Bundesliga championship - which marked the maiden significant honor of his distinguished career.

Tottenham manager Thomas Frank has recently expressed that he would welcome to see Kane come back to England, where he lacks 48 goals to overtake Alan Shearer's all-time Premier League scoring feat of 260.

However, the England skipper has now suggested that he is no longer as eager about coming back home as he once was, and would certainly think about extending his tenure in Bavaria.

"In terms of extending longer, I could definitely see that," he commented.

"I mentioned openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those conversations with Bayern yet, but if they were to arise I would be prepared to talk and have an straightforward conversation.

"Obviously it hinges on how the next year or so unfolds and what we achieve together. Right now, I would say we are in a excellent moment and I am not thinking about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had inquired me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would probably say that has gone down a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have learned in my career is that different options and different moments happen and things align. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am completely all in with Bayern."

Milestone Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the all-time top marksman for both Tottenham and England and lately became the fastest player this century to reach 100 goals for a club competing in one of Europe's top five divisions, attaining the milestone in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a title had escaped him until he secured the German title last season.

Kane states that he was not sure how he would feel after breaking his trophy drought, but now believes it has made him eager for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be easy to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he added.

"But it's given me more drive to do more and be better. I think I've demonstrated that this year.

"I was intrigued in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to achieve in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I challenged myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."

Future Prospects

  • Ongoing success with Bayern Munich remains Kane's top focus
  • The option of a Premier League return has noticeably decreased
  • New contract negotiations could start in the coming future
  • Kane's outstanding goal-scoring performance continues to astound
