Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout fight which will be shown live on the streaming platform.
British boxer Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to publicize the upcoming bout.
Former two time world heavyweight champion Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami venue on 19 December.
Boxer's Attitude
"I'm going to break his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.
"I'm going to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Civil Interaction
In spite of such comments, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically known for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul rather targeted ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian turned down a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British rival Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he stated.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
Still, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, frequently receiving substantial paydays.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in round four or five and asserted he would derail the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.
"It will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.
Size Difference
As Joshua and Paul participated in the usual confrontation, with their size difference on show, it drove home just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the match is really going ahead.
